Warrant Arrests, Thefts Highlight Princeton Police Report

Princeton Police release their activity report.

The following information was provided by Princeton Police:

Andres Velez, 20, of Princeton, was charged with theft and theft by deception at a business on the first block of Witherspoon Street on July 27 at 2:50 p.m. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released with a pending court date.

Majde Haj, 31 of Marlton, and Ryan Tartaglia, 31, of Philadelphia, were arrested for having active warrants issued by the North Wildwood Municipal Court for $250 and Westampton Municipal Court for $233, respectively, following a traffic stop for failure to wear a seatbelt on Charlton Street on July 27 at 1:11 p.m. Haj and Tartaglia were transported to police headquarters, where they were processed and released after they posted bail.

A victim reported that jewelry worth $3,625 was stolen from her home between March 26 and June 30. The investigation was turned over to the Detective Bureau for follow-up.

A victim reported that she was defrauded out of $2,600 by two people who told her that they had won the Mega Millions and needed her help claiming the winnings. The investigation was turned over to the Detective Bureau for follow-up.
