• COWABUNGA!: Rahway's UCPAC to Host Special 35MM Screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Featuring Live Q&A with Makeup Artist Jeff Goodwin on Sept. 17 (tapinto.net) — Rahway's Union County Performing Arts Center is bringing the original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to the Main Stage on Thursday, September 17, with a 35mm screening and live Q&A with makeup artist Jeff Goodwin. Expect photo ops, local vendors, pizza, and themed drinks as part of a grant-supported effort to energize downtown Rahway's arts district.
   

• FDA approves a first-of-its-kind pill to cut cholesterol in high-risk patients (bonnercountydailybee.com) — Rahway gets a notable mention as Merck's New Jersey headquarters, where the newly approved Lipfendra pill was developed to dramatically lower LDL cholesterol for high‑risk patients already on statins. The FDA fast‑tracked the first oral PCSK9‑blocking drug, which showed more than 55% LDL reductions in trials, offering a potentially more accessible option than costly injectables.
