20 Bergen County Towns To Crack Down On Seatbelt Violators - Is Yours One Of Them?
Towns received $4,000 each to add patrols during initiative.

Twenty Bergen County police departments have been granted funds from the New Jersey Department of Highway Safety to step up patrols during seatbelt crackdown initiative.
According to the state, 20 municipalities have each received $4,000 to use for extra manpower until May 31 to crack down on seatbelt violators and educate the public on the importance of buckling up during the annual Click It or Ticket campaign.

According to the New Jersey Division of Highway Safety, 374 police departments participated in the initiative in 2014, resulting in 26,635 seat belt citations, 4,363 speeding summonses, and 944 drunken driving arrests.
