The 30 Day Plank Challenge

Planks are some of the best core strengthening and stability exercises that you can do.

Your core muscles are the glue that holds your body together. Our core muscles support our body in an upright position. They are also vital to support your vital organs. A strong core, gives you good posture, will prevent falls and will reduce your chances for having back pain.

The basic plank position is a simple one, but not all that easy to maintain for any length of time.

Start off slow and gradually keep on increasing your plank time.

The 30-day plank challenge is considered a victory, if you can build up to holding a plank for three minutes straight, without causing yourself extreme distress.

Before starting any exercise program, you should consult with a physician, to see if you are healthy enough to do the exercise that you plan on doing. If it is too much, ask your physician for a less strenuous program.
