5.3% of Registered Ramsey Voters Cast Primary Ballots

Of about 10,218 registered voters in Ramsey who could have turned out to Tuesday’s Primary election to choose the candidates who will run in November’s election, 540 voted. The number represents about 5.3% of eligible voters.

On the Republican side, only the two incumbents – Vanessa Jachzel and Harry Weber – were on the ballot. The two received 328 and 327 votes, respectively.
Though no Democrats petitioned to run in the primary, two write-in candidates did receive votes, Kelly Van Horn, who ran for a seat on the council last year, received 16 votes, and Edward Falato received 19.

Governor
In the gubernatorial race, Ramsey voters echoed the overwhelming sentiments of the state, choosing Gov. Chris Christie on the Republican side, and state senator Barbara Buono on the Democratic side. Here are the unofficial vote tallies from Ramsey voters:
