RAMSEY, NJ — The Ramsey Fire Department is inviting residents to join its ranks as volunteer firefighters and continue a tradition of community service that has been in place since 1899.
The department, which operates as a 100% volunteer organization, is made up of dedicated men and women who respond to fire emergencies throughout Ramsey and assist neighboring communities across Bergen County.
Residents interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter are encouraged to email for more information.
Prospective members can also visit Fire Headquarters on South Island Avenue, across from Ramsey High School, on Monday evenings after 7 p.m. to learn more about the department and the membership process.
