RAMSEY, NJ — Ramsey residents planning to clear out confidential documents Saturday will need to head to a new location.
Ramsey Shredding Day runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ramsey Pool parking lot, 75 East Oak Street. The borough says the event is for Ramsey residents only.
Residents must remain in their cars, with no walkups, self-service or line cutting allowed. Participants may bring up to three boxes or grocery bags, with a 30-pound weight limit. The borough also said for residents to be prepared to bring all boxes and bags back with them.
Only confidential documents are accepted. The event flyer says large plastic bags and containers are no longer accepted because dangerous materials, including lithium batteries, can get through and cause a fire.
