Authorities Seek Information on Fatal Hit and Run of Ramsey Woman in Paramus Nov. 14
The 37-year-old victim from Ramsey has died from her injuries.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paramus Police Department are looking for information relative to a hit and run collision that has resulted in the death of the pedestrian who was struck.
On Friday, Nov.14, the Paramus Police Department received a 911 emergency call reporting that a person had been struck by a motor vehicle on Paramus Road in Paramus, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s press release. Officers found the female victim lying in the northbound lane of Paramus Road, just north of the entrance to Bergen Community College.
The victim, identified as Anila Lluka, 37, from Ramsey, had suffered injuries consistent with having been struck by a motor vehicle and was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center. On Saturday, Nov. 22, Lluka succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the medical center.

As a result of an investigation conducted by members of Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit (FAIU) and the Paramus Police Department, it was determined that at approximately 5:57 p.m., the victim was struck by a motor vehicle as she crossed Paramus Road from the southbound side to the northbound side on her way to a New Jersey Transit bus stop.
The vehicle involved was driving north on Paramus Road at the time of the collision and continued traveling north as they fled the scene. This collision occurred during the late afternoon traffic rush hour and the investigating officers are requesting that any travelers who were on the road at that time consider the facts of the collision and report any pertinent information.
