Bergen County Man Arrested for Child Pornography Charges

A Bergen County man was arrested Saturday on child pornography charges.

Nazar Hasan, 36, a citizen of Iraq who lives in Ridgefield Park, was arrested after an investigation found he was allegedly using the Internet to acquire and transmit images depicting child pornography, according to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.

Hasan was arrested on Oct. 11 and charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child by distributing child pornography, a 2nd degree crime, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child for possession of child pornography, a 4th degree crime.

Bail was set at $25,000 with no ten percent option.

Hasan is expected to be arraigned Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
