Bergen County Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old

A Bergen County man was arrested for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl.

Starlin Villalona-Perdomo, 21, of Garfield was arrested Friday after his alleged victim “reported the incident to the Paterson Police Department, who then contacted the Garfield Police Department,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said. Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Garfield Police Department interviewed the victim, who described in greater detail what had occurred.

Villalona-Perdomo was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Bail was set at $100,000 with no ten percent option, no contact with the victim and the surrender of his passport as a condition of bail. Villalona-Perdomo was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
