Bergen County Man Charged with Murdering Mother

A Bergen County man was arrested and charged after allegedly killing his mother Monday, according to Bergen County Prosecutor John. L. Molinelli.

Nicholas Piotti, 24 from Ho-Ho-Kus, allegedly beat and repeatedly stabbed his 63-year-old mother, Karen, to death early Monday morning, NorthJersey.com reported.

Piotti is currently being examined at Bergen Regional Medical Center after having difficulty breathing during police questioning, according to Cliffview Pilot.

Piotti’s court appearance has been postponed without date, according to Molinelli.

He is being charged with murder and possession of a weapon. Bail was set at $2 million.
