Cardiovascular Disease & Vitamin K2 Deficiencies

It is a big mistake to take calcium supplements and vitamin D3, without vitamin K2. Find out why!

Even though the LabCorp normal range of vitamin D3 (Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy) is 30−100 ng/mL, I like to see levels of 80−100 ng/mL.

There are two forms of vitamin K2, The MK4 variety, from animal sources and the MK7 variety, from plant sources. I recommend a supplement that has 10 micrograms of MK7 vitamin K2 for every 1,000 IU of vitamin D3.

Vitamin K2 helps to get calcium into the bones and the teeth, where it belongs and not into the soft tissues and blood vessels, where it doesn't belong.

Fermented vegetables are a great source of vitamin K2.
