Crash Closes Route 17 For Hours, 21-Year-Old Charged: Police
A Mahwah man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, police said.

RAMSEY, NJ — Route 17 was closed in both directions Sunday after a car crashed into a utility pole, police said.
A 21-year-old Mahwah resident was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving related to the accident near the Horizon Diner, Ramsey Police Chief Bryan Gurney told NorthJersey.com.
Gunrey could not immediately be reached for comment.

Police reported the crash near Lake Street at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

The southbound lanes were reopened by 7 a.m. and the northbound lanes by 10 a.m., police said.
There were no major injuries reported, NorthJersey.com reported.
