How Time Efficient Is Your Workout?
The good news for those short on time, is that some of the most effective exercises, require the least amount of time.

What I am referring to is high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and the high-intensity version of weight training, commonly referred to as super-slow weight training.
If you follow the attached link to the featured video, Damien Blenkinsopp, who is the host of "The Quantified Body", interviews Doug McGuff, MD, who is an emergency room physician and fitness center owner. Dr McGuff is also an expert on HIIT. He's been doing HIIT for 37 years and has trained clients on how to do it for the past 17 years.
HIIT can significantly reduce the amount of exercise you need to do, cutting your hour-long workouts down to 15 minutes once a week or less.

Before you start any exercise program, you should consult your physician, to make sure that you are healthy enough to handle that exercise.
Keep on Moving:Besides doing a HIIT program once or twice a week, everyone should keep active and keep moving to stay healthy and to increase their life expectancy.

Research has demonstrated that six hours of uninterrupted sitting a day, counteracts the positive health benefits of one hour of exercise, so keep moving.
This means avoiding sitting down as much as possible. Even just standing up, produces positive biological effects. So try to get a minimum of 7,000 steps a day and try to keep those steps over 10,000 a day whenever possible.
