Students at Ramsey’s St. Paul Interparochial School are getting ready for their stage debut.
This year, 40 of the school’s fourth through eighth graders will be starring in a production of ‘Into the Woods.’
The Sondheim musical tells a unique story using intertwining plots of fairytale characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and a few different Prince Charmings.

According to the show’s co-producer Mary Mitsinikos, the school chose the musical as this year’s production for a few different reasons.
“We were looking for a show where we could get a lot of children to participate, and have bigger roles,” Mitsinikos said. “And the show has some dark [undertones], it really does have a wide appeal and is family-friendly. We think all ages in the audience will like it.”
