Man Sold Hash-Oil Near Don Bosco Prep, Prosecutor Says

Joeluis A. Ramirez, 25, sold hash-oil to an undercover detective, authorities said.

RAMSEY, NJ — A Mahwah man was arrested Wednesday and charged with selling hash-oil near Don Bosco Preparatory School, authorities announced.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office receiving information in May that Joeluis A. Ramirez, 25, of Hilltop Road, was selling controlled dangerous substances in Mahwah, county Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Ramirez distributed several vaporizer cartridges containing THC hash-oil in May to an undercover detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in town, Grewal said.

Ramirez was arrested Wednesday at his home where authorities found a "small amount" of THC hash-oil and a vaporizer pen containing THC hash-oil, Grewal said.

Ramirez was charged with distribution of hash-oil within 1,000 feet of Don Bosco Preparatory High School, distribution of hash-oil under five grams and possession of hash-oil under five grams, Grewal said.

Ramirez was released on a summons pending an Dec. 20 court appearance, Grewal said.
