Man Tries Breaking Into $50M Bergen County Home - Again

Ho Jin Lee tried to break into the Frick Estate in Alpine twice in three weeks.

A Little Ferry man tried to break into the most expensive home on the Bergen County real estate market twice in three weeks.

The property manager of the Closter Road residence found Ho Jin Lee trying to exit the Frick Estate Sunday through a rear window, Alpine Police Chief Christopher Belcolle said.

The manager called police of the attempted break in and detained Lee, police said.

Lee was charged with defiant trespass for being on the property Aug. 21, Belcolle said.

The 30,000-square-foot homehas a dozen bathrooms, 19 bedrooms, four kitchens, three bars, an indoor basketball court, and a 65-foot salt water swimming pool.

Lee was being held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail. He was charged with burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief, and assault on police.
