New Fro-Yo Shop Opens on Franklin Turnpike

Owner says residents can expect a grand opening party at tcby next month

A new self-serve frozen yogurt shop in Ramsey is officially open for business.

tcby – a longtime fro-yo company that recently re-vamped its look and moved from a traditional to self-serve model, is now open in the Walgreens shopping plaza on Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey.

According to the shop’s owner Kishan Kansagra, “it’s been going really well,” since tcby opened its doors on Saturday. “People have been noticing that we’re open and stopping in already. We are excited to get the word out that we’re now open in Ramsey.”

The shop has 12 flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt, a bar of toppings, and non-dairy, sorbet and no-sugar fro-yo options.

And, according to Kansagra, the shop is going to officially announce its presence in the borough in a big way next month. tcby plans to host a grand opening party in April, complete with prizes, games for kids and free yogurt giveaways.

Kansagra, who owns two other tcby’s – one in the Paramus Park mall and one in Woodbridge – said he is excited to open his first freestanding location, and thinks Ramsey is the perfect place for the shop.

“We are really excited to be here, and to become a part of the community,” he said.
