Every child under the camp counselor’s care was brought to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office and forensically interviewed by Special Victims Unit detectives, according to the press release. Three of those children confirmed inappropriate sexual touching.
The camp counselor was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the statement. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and later released to his parents, though he is mandated to wear an electronic monitoring device.
