Ramsey Actress Joins Cast Of 'Joyce Kilmer' Production

Danielle Van Kampen, an actress from Ramsey, has joined the cost of ”Joyce Kilmer On Stage,” a collection of episodes about the famous Mahwah poet.

Van Kampen will re-enact the historical background story of “Easter Week” as Grace Gifford. The episode is set in a a Dublin jail cell where Gifford is allowed just 10 minutes to marry her lover, Irish rebel leader Joseph Plunkett, before he is executed by a firing squad.

Van Kampen, a graduate of Ramapo College is the founder and president of the Per4ming heARTS Theater Company, a musical production company.

“Joyce Kilmer On Stage” is being produced by the Joyce Kilmer Society of Mahwah. It is a collection of scenes depicting some of Kilmer’s better known poems, including “Trees.” It will be presented at the Mahwah Public Library Sunday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
