Ramsey Backs Romney in Presidential Election
Republican votes in line with borough's past presidential ballots

Though the nation chose Barack Obama as its President for the next four years, the majority of Ramsey voters supported his opponent, Republican Mitt Romney.
According to unofficial results released by borough hall Tuesday night, 4,005 Ramsey voters chose Romney as their vote for the next president, and 2,876 chose Obama.
The president also won more states than his opponent statewide.

The Ramsey results are in line with the borough’s past presidential votes.
In 2008, Ramsey voters chose McCain, 4,417 votes to 3,556. A majority of residents also voted for President George Bush in 2004.
