RAMSEY, NJ — A borough boy whom police helped recently was made chief for a day.

The little boy named Jack hurt his head and two Ramsey police officers responded to his house to help, police said in a Facebook post.

Jack is "recovering better than we could ever hope for," police said. The Ramsey PBA Local 155 wanted to honor him in a special way so Chief Bryan Gurney and Mayor Deirdre Dillon swore him in as chief for the day recently.
