Ramsey Cops Honored For Drunk Driving Enforcement
Officer Robert McMackin Officer James Peterson were honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving recently.

RAMSEY, N.J. — Two borough police officers received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Distinguished Service Award at Rutgers University Thursday.
Officer Robert McMackin Officer James Peterson received the award from Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal. Both patrol officer were the leaders of the Ramsey Police Department in drunk driving enforcement.
The award recognizes police officers throughout the state for their dedication and life-saving efforts in the enforcement of driving while intoxicated laws in New Jersey.
Peterson, 27, is four-year veteran of the department and is an assistant traffic officer. He is also a member of the Ramsey Ambulance Corps.
McMackin, 34, is a two-year veteran and a former professional football player.
