Ramsey Council To Consider $15.05 Million Emergency Services Complex

RAMSEY, NJ — Ramsey officials are set to consider borrowing for an emergency services complex that would bring the borough’s Fire Department, Rescue Squad and Office of Emergency Management under one roof.

The Borough Council will hold a public hearing and vote Wednesday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on an ordinance appropriating $15.05 million for the project’s construction phase. The measure would authorize bonds or bond anticipation notes to cover much of the cost.

The proposal calls the development a “station complex project,” and, if approved, authorizes spending that will then result in a plan detailing a construction schedule, location and effect on taxpayers.
