Ramsey High School Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian for 2017

Dr. Michael Thumm, Principal of Ramsey High School, recently announced the names of the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2017. They are Alison Saunders, Valedictorian and Emma Diamond, Salutatorian. Both students are President's Education Award recipients, three time recipients of the Scholastic "R" Award, National Honor Society members, and World Language Society members.

Alison has involved herself fully during her four year at Ramsey High School through participation in various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including: Leadership Program, Yearbook Editor, Entertainment Editor for the school newspaper, the Ram, and as a Student Congress Class Representative. As a freshman, she received the Scholastic Award for the Highest Academic Average in the 9th Grade, and as a sophomore, she represented Ramsey HS at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership conference.

Emma has been involved with the Biology League, Chemistry League, History Club, and the Leadership Program. She is a member of the "Big Blue" marching band and the Wind Ensemble and was named a Commended Scholar in the National Merit Program.

Miss Saunders is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Saunders; Miss Diamond is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Diamond, both of Ramsey.
