Ramsey Motorcyclist Dead In Crash With Jeep: Prosecutor
Breaking: Kasey Checke, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

RAMSEY, NJ — A borough man was killed when the Harley-Davison he was driving collided with a Jeep Wrangler in Hawthorne Saturday, authorities said.
At about 9:44 p.m. Hawthorne Police responded to a collision on Lafayette Avenue involving a 2008 Harley-Davison motorcycle and a 2017 Jeep Wrangler, said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
Kasey Checke, 49, was driving the Harley-Davidson; he was pronounced dead at the scene at about 10:13 p.m., Valdes said.

A female who was riding the motorcycle with Checke was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where she remains in critical condition, Valdes said. The Jeep Wrangler's driver was not injured.
The Passaic County Sheriff's Department, the Hawthorne Police Department, and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the crash. More information will be released once it becomes available.
