Ramsey Police Monitoring Bear Near Darlington Avenue
Police ask residents to call them if the bear becomes aggressive.

RAMSEY, NJ — Police are monitoring a black bear seen near Darlington Avenue Tuesday.
A bear was also seen in the woods early Tuesday afternoon between Woodland Avenue and the Academy of Saint Paul, police said.
A bear was also seen on Shadyside Road Monday morning, police said.

Anyone who sees a bear, especially if it is aggressive and in a residential neighborhood, should call 9-1-1 immediately.
The state Division of Fish and Wildlife urges residents to always stay away from bears.
