Ramsey’s Real Housewives Signing to Help Local Kid Battling Cancer

The owner of Gina Avino Artistic Designs is expecting a big crowd at her shop next Monday for a celebrity book signing featuring one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Avino said she wants to capitalize on the crowd by turning the event into a fundraiser for a local girl battling Leukemia.

Teresa Giudice – the reality TV star made famous by The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and The Celebrity Apprentice, and line of best-selling cookbooks – is coming to Ramsey next week. She’ll be carrying a supply of her latest cookbook, “Fabulicious! On the Grill: Teresa’s Smoking Hot Backyard Recipes,” signing copies for fans, and snapping photos at the event.

Ava Rasmussen is a seven-year-old battling Leukemia. Ava is still undergoing treatment for the disease, which she was diagnosed with last November.

The community has been hosting fundraisers for Ava and her family since her diagnosis.

To help the cause, Avino said local Lia Sophia jewelry reps Addie Moore and Debbie Migliaccio, who have been selling products and donating a portion to the Rasmussen family, will have a table set up at her Main Street Shop next Monday. A percentage of proceeds from the Lia Sophia sales and any sales made in Avino’s shop, will be donated to the family.

Avino said she hopes the signing will be a "good way to help this little girl."

Giudice will be stopping at the shop on June 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. for a book signing. The stop is part of Giudice’s book signing tour around the area to promote the book.
