Ramsey Singer Among Young Artist Competition Finalists
The soprano is one of 13 young musicians who will perform at a concert at Don Bosco later this month

One teenage musician from Ramsey is among thirteen finalists in Don Bosco Prep’s Young Artists’ Scholarship Competition, the school announced Tuesday.
Soprano singer Kristina Walz from Ramsey will join 12 other local teenagers to perform at Bosco’s annual Chapel Concert. After the concert, one of the 13 finalists will be chosen to win a $1,000 music education scholarship.
To be chosen for the performance, Walz and the other finalists went through two rounds of competition against other local entrants into the scholarship competition.

The Chapel Concert will also feature performances from the other finalists - Pianist Nick Bermudez from Glen Rock, Piccoloist Emma Bruder from Franklin Lakes, Violinist Kathryn Chamberlain from Sparta, Singer/Songwriter Timothy Gysin from Waldwick, Bart Lasecki from Montvale, Marimba Player Neil McNulty from Randolph, Bari-Tenor William Martorano from Washington Township, Pianist Charlie Mezzini from Washington Township, Classical Guitarist Nicholas Giordano from Oakland, Harpist Katy Wong from Ridgewood, Pianist Michelle Yan from Hillsdale, and Soprano Michelle Zink from Wyckoff.
The concert is open to the public.
