Ramsey Will Hold Special Meeting on Proposed Apartment Complex

After a developer proposing to build a 196-unit luxury apartment complex across from the Route 17 rail station has had several presentations in front of the Ramsey Zoning Board of Adjustment cut short due to scheduling difficulties, the board has announced it will hold a special meeting later this month dedicated to discussing the proposed development.

According to Zoning Board Chair Howard Cantor, the Russo Development application will be heard at a special meeting on May 22 at 8 p.m. at borough hall. The application will not be heard at the regular meeting of Ramsey Board of Adjustment on May 15, he said.

At a recent board hearing about the development, about the anticipated impact of the development because of timing. The developer did, however, go through an overview of the design for the complex, and field questions about it from local residents.
