Reminder: Ramsey Jazz Symposium Friday
Start the weekend early with a free show at the high school
The Ramsey High School music department is hosting a free jazz concert for locals this Friday. The ninth annual Ramsey Jazz Symposium and Concert Series will feature performances by the RHS Jazz Ensemble and NYC-based professional trumpet player Jim Hynes.
According to his website, Hynes is a member of Paul Simon's touring band, and has played with internationally-famous music acts like Aerosmith, Michael Jackson and Tony Bennett.
The free show is at the high school and starts at 8 p.m. Donations are accepted.
