Saddle Brook Man Appears in Court for Gunpowder Possession

A domestic dispute led to the discovery of weapons including illegal amounts of gunpowder.

Robert Lintner, of Saddle Brook, appeared in court today to be arraigned on a weapons-related charge.

Lintner left his house at 9 a.m. Friday and screamed for someone to call 911 after his wife, Eileen Lintner, allegedly stabbed him in the neck.

Lintner pleaded not guilty to a charge of “creating a risk of widespread injury or damage” after allegedly possessing about 300 pounds of gunpowder, which exceeds the legal amount of 30 pounds.

Lintner’s lawyer, Louis Nappen, entered the plea and added that the charge against his client amounted to “victimizing the victim.”

Investigators also found close to 200 weapons in Lintner’s basement that they removed Friday night after obtaining a search warrant. Police did not add to the weapons-related charge involving the gunpowder.
