Shout Out Businesses that Got You Through Sandy

Many local places helped residents recover from the storm. Here's your chance to say 'thank you.'

As Hurricane Sandy and her aftermath – downed trees, extended power outages and gas shortages – lingered in Ramsey for the past two weeks, many borough businesses had it just as rough as residents did.

Much of the Interstate Shopping Plaza was out of power for over a week, gas stations could not pump the gas they had, and Main Street was dark for days.

As residents were stuck in their powerless homes, they looked to local businesses for help, and supplies.

Ramsey Hardware and Brady’s opened using generator power. Shop Rite partially lit some of its aisles with generators to open the afternoon after the storm. Morano’s gave away all of the food it had in stock to residents without power.

So, Patch would like to give residents this opportunity to say “Thank You!”
