Simple, Homemade & Organic Vitamin C

This homemade vitamin C supplement contains over 60 flavonoids and 170 phytonutrients!

Most vitamin C that is store bought is made from genetically modified corn. The corn sugar can be chemically converted into ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Ascorbic acid by itself is not nearly as good of a supplement as this homemade one, since it doesn’t contain all of those flavonoids and phytonutrients.

You can actually make your own organic vitamin C at home. All you need are orange peels from organic oranges, which are usually discarded as garbage.

Make sure to rinse the organic oranges well before peeling.

1. Cut the orange peels into strips.
2. Let the strips dry for a few days at room temperature, until they are crisp.
3. Once dried, grind the strips in any grinder, such as a coffee grinder.
4. Take a teaspoon daily.
5. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The vitamin C should be good for at least a few weeks.
