What is causing this global obesity and how can it be reversed?
The causes of and solutions to the global obesity epidemic are extremely simple, but the solutions are difficult to accomplish.
Cause #1:
The lack of regular exercise and activity.
Solution #1:
Get more active by walking more, exercising more and reducing all screen time. Movement promotes life and vitality. If you don't move, you will pay the price.
Cause #2:
The over consumption of highly processed foods. Wherever a highly processed food diet becomes the norm, obesity inevitably follows. Americans are notorious for eating a primarily processed diet.
Solution #2:
Eat real food, not processed food. You can start by following one on the many traditional diets made from real food. Choose any one of the diets that were followed by our ancestors from around the globe, but try to buy organic and stay away from any chemical additives. If you eat meat and/or fish, it important to eat meat and/or fish that have diets of what they should eat in the wild, That is what they were designed to eat to be healthy.
You can try adhere to Mediterranean diet, Asian diet or. Indian diet, just to name a few. Every one of those diets from around the world are healthy and balanced diets.
Much of the time that our ancestors spent during their day was centered around obtaining and preparing food. But how did our ancestors eat these balanced diets without the technology to even analyze their food? They didn't know a carbohydrate from a fat or protein! Was it innate intelligence, trial and error or divine inspiration? It is anyone's guess. The fact remains that every native people, from the Eskimos to the African tribes enjoyed a well balanced diet.
It seems so simple and it is, but millions are dying over inactivity and convenience. The price of good health is unfortunately inconvenience, but who is willing to pay that price?
