The Toxicity of MSG

MSG is a widespread toxin that is hidden in thousands of processed foods.

Monosodium glutamate can harm your brain as well as your health. MSG is considered a hidden toxin, because it has so many aliases. MSG received a lot of publicity years ago, because it was used in Chinese food, but that was only the tip of the iceberg.

MSG is found in frozen dinners, crackers, canned soups, processed meats, barbeque sauce, salad dressings and much more. MSG is also found in supermarket food, restaurant food, school cafeteria food, baby food and even in infant formula.

MSG is an excitotoxin, which super stimulates specialized neurons in the brain, to such an extent that exposure can lead to the destruction of brain cells.

Food companies learned that MSG increased the intensity of flavors and aromas. By making their products taste and smell better, sales increased as well as their profits.

If you want to avoid MSG, learn to carefully read ingredient labels. What is actually better for you as well as producing less eye strain, just eat foods that are whole foods with no ingredient labels, or only eat foods that are made from scratch with only wholesome ingredients.

Your health, your family’s health and your longevity are well worth this extra effort!
