Turkey Day Football Alternative: Local Game on TV This Thanksgiving

Cablevision’s MSG Varsity will showcase the annual Thanksgiving Day match-up between New Jersey rivals Don Bosco Prep and. St. Joseph High School (Montvale) live on Thursday, November 22 at 10:30 a.m. on MSG Varsity Optimum TV, Channel 14. 

The game will also stream live on www.msgvarsity.com/liveaccess.

Jimmy Cavallo (play-by-play) will be joined by Steve Levy (color analyst) and Chad Cutler (sideline reporter) as they call the action as it unfolds from Don Bosco Prep.

Livecast match-ups include the FCIAC Championship game between Staples HS and Greenwich HS beginning at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, November 22 at www.msgvarsity.com/liveaccess (airing at 7 p.m. that evening); Bergen Catholic vs. Paramus Catholic game at 10:30 a.m. (airing on Saturday, September 24 at 9:00am); and Stepinac HS vs. White Plains HS also at 10:30 a.m. (available for viewing on MSG Varsity on-demand channel 614). 

“The live Thanksgiving Classic between number one ranked Don Bosco Prep and number four ranked St. Joseph Regional is a game we’re excited to share with our viewers,” said Michael Lardner, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, MSG Varsity.

“It was only two months ago that St. Joseph delivered a shocking upset to then number one team Bergen Catholic and it will be interesting to see whether they can pull it off again against the current number one team— Don Bosco Prep.”
