The festival is organized by EDGE New Jersey, Morris County's LGBTQ+ community center, which provides behavioral health services, housing assistance, HIV services, education, and other community programs throughout the region. Proceeds from Morris County Pride help support the organization's year-round services.

"As the community's college, CCM celebrates the opportunity to partner with Morris County Pride and looks forward to this exciting event on our campus," County College of Morris President Dr. Anthony J. Iacono said in a statement.

Sean Dorsa, who helped launch Morris County Pride alongside Cara Parmigiani, said the event was created to increase visibility for the local LGBTQ+ community, particularly LGBTQ+ youth.

"We knew we needed to celebrate and be visible for the LGBTQ+ community, especially LGBTQ+ youth," Dorsa said.

Organizers say Morris County Pride has continued to grow each year, drawing LGBTQ+ residents, allies, and families from across North Jersey while serving as both a celebration and a way to connect people with valuable local resources.
