RANDOLPH, NJ — A classic story of romance, suspense and the supernatural is coming to the Randolph stage just in time for Halloween.
Brundage Park Playhouse will present "Ghost the Musical" for six performances beginning Friday, Oct. 23 and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 1. The production is based on the Academy Award-winning film and features a score by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, along with the classic song "Unchained Melody," according to the playhouse.
The story centers on Sam and Molly, a young couple separated when Sam is killed. Trapped between the living world and the next, Sam discovers Molly is in danger and turns to storefront psychic Oda Mae Brown for help reaching her and protecting her.
The musical combines romance and suspense with comedic moments as Sam tries to communicate with Molly and seek justice for his death.
Coco Mase is directing and choreographing the production, with Dave Blazier serving as musical director. The cast includes performers from across New Jersey, including two Randolph residents.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and 30 and 2 p.m. Oct. 24, 25 and 31 and Nov. 1. The production will be staged at Brundage Park Playhouse, 2 Bungalow Lane in Randolph. The performance schedule is listed on the official ticketing page.
Online tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for children younger than 12, adults 62 and older and military personnel with identification, according to the playhouse. Tickets remain available online.
