Bank of America Awards Grant to Morris Habitat for Humanity

Morris Habitat for Humanity has been named one of the 2019 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® awardees for New Jersey. Morris Habitat was selected for its Neighborhood Revitalization Program’s efforts to provide lower-income families with repairs to improve the accessibility, safety and energy efficiency of their homes.

The Neighborhood Builder Award includes a year of leadership training for Morris Habitat’s Blair Schleicher Bravo and Spencer Reckford, access to a network of peer organizations across the U.S., and the opportunity to access capital to expand the program’s impact. The Bank of America grant will help double the number of families served by the Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

"We are honored to receive this grant and continue providing imperative resources and support to families in need of affordable housing."

Over the past 15 years, Bank of America has invested $240 million in 49 communities through Neighborhood Builders, partnering with more than 1,000 nonprofits and helping more than 2,000 nonprofit leaders strengthen their leadership skills. UIH Family Partners, a family services nonprofit in Mercer County, also was a 2019 awardee.
