On Friday, June 26th at 7:00 PM, Revolution Bar & Kitchen in Morristown will be hosting a local Pride Night designed to bring together the LGBTQ+ community across Morristown and Morris County. For many in the area, there has been a long-standing desire for a dedicated, welcoming space to gather, connect, and build community.
This event came together after the venue’s managers, Rhea and Darrell, connected with me through Morristown.gay on instagram to help create a night centered around inclusivity and belonging. While we often see one another throughout town, opportunities to come together in a shared space have been limited, something this event aims to change.
With the hoped-for success of this first Pride Night, Revolution Bar & Kitchen is open to continuing this initiative on a recurring basis, potentially monthly, as a way to support and uplift the local LGBTQ+ community.
At a time when questions of visibility and safety can feel especially important, it means a great deal to have a local business actively creating a space where people can feel comfortable, welcomed, and connected. For one night, and hopefully many more, this is a place where the community can feel at home together.
