Morris County 4-H Introduces New World Exploration Club
Seeking youth for new 4-H Club
Mine Hill – An exciting new 4-H club is seeking new members in grades 4-13th (one year past high school). According to the World Exploration 4-H Club’s leader, this club will “focus on developing global citizens who are aware of the world around them. Kids will discuss world events, uniqueness and similarities with different cultures, and challenge their perceptions about the world. The club will also provide guidance and support to any members interested in hosting an international delegate or traveling abroad for a month long home-stay with an international family.”
Since its origins in 1902, the 4-H program has grown to meet the needs and interests of youth for positive development. Currently, 4-H programs are offered in over 50 countries making international exchanges and club like the World Exploration 4-H Club possible. Club members will have the unique opportunity to explore the vast world around them in a truly unique way. The World Exploration 4-H Club will meet the 4th Monday of each month in the Mine Hill Civic Center.
Kelly Dziak, 4-H Program Associate, recommends the new 4-H club for youth interested in exploring world culture and developing global citizenship. “Since this is a new 4-H club in Morris County, youth members will have the opportunity to design the club to fit their interests and needs.”
