Morris Habitat for Humanity Announces Hearts & Hammers Gala

The gala will be held on Thursday, February 22 at 6 p.m. at the Mansion at Mountain Lakes in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey.

Morris Habitat for Humanity announces the 19th annual Hearts & Hammers Gala on Thursday, February 22 at 6 p.m. at the Mansion at Mountain Lakes in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. The 2024 gala is Morris Habitat’s largest fundraising event, and the gala will support the organization’s mission of building homes, communities and hope.

“The need for affordable housing in the communities we serve has never been greater,” said Liz DeCoursey, Morris Habitat CEO. “The Hearts and Hammers Gala is a fun night that will help raise much-needed funds to complete the 30 homes currently under construction in the next year, move forward on the more than 200 new homes in various stages of planning, and complete 100 home repairs by the end of 2024.”

Co-hosted by Toni Yates, WABC-TV Channel 7 reporter, the evening’s spotlight will be on Morris Habitat families as well as the Hearts & Hammers Gala Honorees. Gala honorees for 2024 include: Mikie Sherrill, Congresswoman, New Jersey 11th District with the Leadership Award; Jim V. Fakult, President, Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) with the Community Partner Award; Roy Pascal and Spencer Pascal, Commerce Park Investors with the Corporate Partner Award; and Richard Barrett, President, Quattran Associates with the Donald H. Kuhn Inspiration Award.

ABOUT MORRIS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Morris Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization, Habitat for Humanity International, committed to building homes, communities, and hope.
