2 Knife-Wielding Women Charged In Robbery: Report

Duo is accused of stealing cigarettes from a convenience store; the pair were chased through two towns before arrest, the report says.

RED BANK, NJ -- Two Pennsylvania women have been charged with robbery after they took cigarettes and cash from a gas station convenience store at knifepoint, according to a report.

The Asbury Park Press report said Emily Schwartz, 19, of New Tripoli, Pa., and Kayla Gregson, 20, of Saylorsburg, Pa.,
are being held in the Monmouth County jail after their arrests, which followed a police chase through three towns.

The two women confronted the attendant at the Shell station on Newman Springs Road with knives about 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 1, the report said, and took cash from the register and cigarette cartons.

When they fled, the station attendant followed them in his car, then flagged down a police officer, the report said.
