Tracy Morgan: No Disrespect: On Friday, at 7 p.m. comedian Tracy Morgan, known for his roles across seven seasons of 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, is performing his show at the Count Basie Center for the Arts. Count Basie Center Teen and College Film Fest: For the first time ever, the finalists for the annual Count Basie Center Teen + College Film Fest get a proper screening in a real, working cinema. Join us in viewing more than 25 films submitted by middle school, high school and college-aged students from across the Garden State. Almost U2 with Pure McCartney: This tribute concert is on Saturday, at 8 p.m. at Count Basie Center for the Arts. Almost U2 was born from the Asbury Park-based band Misfit Johnny and is a tribute to the live experience of the iconic band U2. Almost U2 performs their tribute with spot-on accuracy and attention to detail, paying homage to some of the greatest moments in concert history from the past 4 decades. Acrylic Pour Workshop: On Sunday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the local line store an artist will teach you how to make acrylic pour art pieces. This includes how to mix paint, what proportions to use and all the styles that can be used. All the resources and tools will be provided and no prior experience is needed. Rock N Roll Playhouse: The Rock and Roll Playhouse is a national kid-friendly live concert series performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history. The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with young children, games, stories and most importantly an opportunity to rock out. This event is hosted at Count Basie Center for the Arts on Sunday, at 12 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are on sale now.
