A Phish Eye View
The art and images of the band, Phish, will be on display at Frame to Please at the Galleria in Red Bank. Donations will also be collected for a RBMS trip to MOMA.

To mark the visit of the band Phish to the PNC Bank Arts Center on June 1, Frame to Please, will host a retrospective look at the work of two artists that centers on the Vermont based mixed genre jam band, with an opening reception of Thursday from 6 - 9 pm.
The centerpiece of the show, A Phish Eye View, is the work of internationally renowned artist Jim Pollock. Known for his bold, vibrant linoleum prints, Pollock's journey with the band began in the late 1980s when he drew pen and ink flyers for their early shows. As the band toured relentlessly and their reputation grew, they continued to embrace Pollock's imagery for flyers, t-shirts, CD covers, limited edition prints, tickets and tour posters.
Pollock's prints will be on display at Frame to Please, in The Galleria, as well as a video showing his process, in which he uses a century old linoleum press, which means prints are essentially handmade.

Also on display and for sale are some extraordinary Phish images by noted New Jersey photo-journalist Mike McLaughlin.
The event is also an informal fundraiser. In an effort to help the kids of the Red Bank Middle School raise money to travel to The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art in New York, Frame to Please owners, Megan Prenderville and Mike Harper, are using the event to collect donations.
