Albanese Leads Red Bank Regional BOE Race: Unofficial Results

RED BANK, NJ - As of Friday, candidate Stephanie Albanese was leading in the Red Bank Board of Education race, according to unofficial results from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.

One full-term seat is open on the Red Bank Regional High School Board of Education. Board President John Garofalo and newcomer Albanese are competing for the position.

Albanese has garnered the most votes so far.

STEPHANIE ALBANESE: 66.94%, 1,699 votes
JOHN GAROFALO: 32.94%, 836 votes

Current board member Eugene J. Koster, Jr. is running for reelection in the full-term race to represent Little Silver, while newcomer John Venino will be challenging the incumbent for the spot.

JOHN VENINO: 54.80%, 1,319 votes
EUGENE J. KOSTER, JR: 44.99%, 1,083 votes

"I am seeking a seat so that Little Silver has a true advocate on the board of education," Venino told Patch earlier this year.

"My knowledge of remote learning will be firsthand. My knowledge of education will be firsthand. I will not rely solely on information disseminated to me from the superintendent. I will be an independent voice for Little Silver, which will benefit all students."

Three seats are also open on the Red Bank Borough Board of Education. Jennifer Herold Garcia and Laura P. Camargo are pursuing the seats.
