Red Bank Cop Named In 'Major Discipline' Report From NJAG's Office

RED BANK, NJ — The NJ Attorney General's Office recently released the names of New Jersey police officers who were subject to "major discipline" in 2025, including an officer in the Red Bank Police Department.

On June 12, the state AG office released its annual Major Discipline Report, which lists details for hundreds of police officers in the state. The report covers the period from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025.

According to the attorney general’s office, "major discipline" is defined as terminations, reductions in rank, or suspension of more than five days.

Pending cases are not included in the data set. Details on the Red Bank officer mentioned in the report are listed below:

• Resigned, retired, transferred, or separated while case was pending: Yes

• Sustained Charge: Violation of dept. rules and regs; conduct subversive to the good order and discipline of the dept.
• Description: Ptlm. Doremus misappropriated the funds of another officer to manage personal services. The said violation is subversive to the good order of the department. For this violation, Doremus agreed to a penalty of forfeiting 114 days of total accumulated time from his sick and vacation time bank.
