Driver Injured In Garden State Parkway Crash, NJ State Police Say

The driver was brought to an area hospital after their vehicle was struck by a Land Rover SUV, police said.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — A driver was brought to a local hospital following a crash on Sunday morning, NJ State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino told Patch.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the Garden State Parkway south inner roadway at milepost 106.5 in Tinton Falls for a report of a crash.

Based on preliminary investigation, Postorino said a Land Rover SUV struck the side of a Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Following this collision, the Mercedes-Benz struck the right guardrail and overturned.

The driver of the Mercedes-Benz sustained minor injuries and was brought to an area hospital, Postorino said. There were no other reported injuries on scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

As of Monday morning, no additional information was available.
