Back To School: Shrewsbury School District 2022-23 Calendar

SHREWSBURY, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway in Shrewsbury, with the school calendar available for parents and students to review for the 2022-2023 school year.

The first day of school in Shrewsbury is Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The school district will put a bond referendum before voters Oct. 6 for upgraded school facilities and additional space to continue to "keep class sizes small, enhance security, and leave behind a legacy that meets the needs of current and future students."

The district has one school, the Shrewsbury Borough School, serving approximately 455 students from pre-K to eighth grade. The Red Bank Regional High School School District is a regional four-year public high school and school district that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from the boroughs of Little Silver, Red Bank and Shrewsbury.

Here are some important upcoming dates:

• First Day of School: Sept. 6, with 12:30 dismissal
• Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25, with 12:30 p.m. dismissal Nov. 23
• Winter recess: Dec. 26-30. with 12:30 p.m. dismissal Dec. 23
• Spring recess: April 7, 2023-April, 14, 2023
• Graduation: June 14, 2023
• Last Day of School: June 16, 2023
